An Uno's pins can't go any higher than 5. The most common reason for using any of these parts is to be able to control a higher voltage or current than an Arduino would normally allow. Often Teensy and Teensy++ can operate at 16 MHz down to lower voltages, and the USB often functions at lower voltages, at least at. These are 'worst case' recommendations from Atmels datasheet. Teensy 2.0 can operate down to 2.4 volts.
